Overview
Leatherhead is one of Surrey’s most popular villages, with great access to London and its situation on the edge of the Surrey Hills. This particular project was located within the green belt area, and because of the restrictions associdated with green belt, our design proposed to extend the building downward to maximise its potential and avoid difficult planning issues.
Adjacent gardens were excavated to provide a sunken terrace to the new kitchen area and a frameless glass wall was included along the entire back elevation of the property to provide panoramic views of the extensive gardens. Further bedroom accommodation was provided with the introduction of a mezzanine level above the kitchen taking the house from a 4 bed to 5 bed property.
